Seeking meaningful change but don’t know where to start?

Let's build a life and career that honors your full potential. Together.

Is This You?

Does this sound familiar?

You're successful on paper — but something feels off, like you're living someone else's definition of success instead of your own. Here's what I know: that feeling is information, not ingratitude.

You're ready to level up — but you're trapped in application purgatory, unsure how to position yourself or find roles that actually align with your values. Most job descriptions don't reflect what the role actually requires—they're wish lists, not requirements.

You're navigating life as a new parent — trying to figure out who you are professionally now, how to advocate for flexibility, and whether your pre-baby career still fits. This transition often reveals what you were tolerating before that you don't have to anymore.

You're stepping into leadership — but imposter syndrome hits different when you're already fighting to prove you belong in the room. Having been in those rooms, I can tell you: everyone's figuring it out as they go, some people are just better at looking confident while doing it.

You know you need to make a major change — set boundaries, pivot careers, leave that relationship — but you don't know how to start without disappointing everyone around you. The people worth keeping will adjust to your growth.

You're moving fast and covering ground — but you have that nagging feeling you're drifting further from what actually matters to you. Trust that feeling. It's telling you something important.

If you’re nodding along thinking “Yes, that's exactly me,” you’re in the right place. Working with me will help provide clarity, strategy, and support to create the intentional life and career you actually want.

What is Coaching &
How Does it Work?

Coaching is a partnership designed to help you see the invisible patterns holding you back, understand how things really work, and design a life and career that puts your gifts at the center—without compromising who you are.

Unlike therapy that focuses on healing the past or consulting that hands you a strategy, coaching works at the intersection where self-awareness meets purposeful action. Whether you're navigating a career transition, a relationship change, or a major life shift, we explore the patterns that serve you and the ones that don't, design approaches that honor who you're becoming, and build the clarity and confidence that moves you forward.

Most people don't realize: The biggest obstacles to creating the life you want aren't about skill gaps or confidence issues. They're about trying to succeed in systems you don't fully understand, following rules that may not serve you, and optimizing for metrics that don't actually create the satisfaction you're seeking.

How we work together: In our sessions, we'll dig into what's really happening beneath the surface—not just the story you tell yourself, but the patterns you're living. I bring insights from 15+ years of scaling teams and navigating complex organizational dynamics, while you bring deep knowledge of your own experience. Together, we identify what's working, what isn't, and design practical strategies that honor who you're becoming.

For individuals, this might mean understanding how to navigate workplace dynamics authentically, making major life decisions with confidence, or designing a path forward that honors both your ambitions and your values.

For organizations, it's about developing leaders who can navigate complexity while staying human, improving team dynamics, and creating cultures where people can do their best work without losing themselves.

The result? Deeper self-trust, clearer priorities, and practical tools to navigate whatever comes next with greater ease and authenticity—whether you're managing a team or managing your life.

Coaching Services

I use a combination of the Co-Active Training Institute's approach (which sees people as naturally creative, resourceful, and whole) along with insights from 15+ years of leading teams through rapid scaling. This methodology works whether I'm helping someone navigate a career transition, a major life change, or leading a team through transformation.

In individual sessions, we'll explore what's really going on beneath the surface, identify patterns that serve you and ones that don't, and create practical strategies that honor both who you are and who you're becoming.

In organizational work, we apply these same principles at scale—helping teams identify collective patterns, align on shared values, and develop leadership capabilities that create lasting impact.

Whether working one-on-one or with groups, expect to be challenged, supported, and surprised by what you already know.

Professional & Life Transitions Coaching

For navigating big life shifts with clarity and confidence

Whether you're returning to work after maternity leave, stepping into a leadership role, facing relationship changes, or questioning your life direction—transitions reveal the gap between who you've been and who you're becoming.

What I've learned about transitions: The discomfort you're feeling isn't a sign you're doing it wrong. It's information about what you're growing toward. The standard advice assumes everyone's path looks the same. It doesn't.

The reality: You're not just changing external circumstances, you're evolving your identity. That gap isn't a problem to solve—it's a space to design from.

You'll walk away with:

  • Clarity on your identity and priorities in this new chapter

  • A decision-making framework that honors your values and the realities you're navigating

  • Practical action plans that feel aligned, not forced

  • Strategies for managing the uncertainty that comes with change

  • Reconnection to your voice and what you actually want

Professional Development Coaching

For professionals ready to level up, pivot, or lead with purpose

Whether you're stepping into leadership, managing complex team dynamics, or positioning yourself for executive roles—professional growth isn't just about getting promoted. It's about building influence while staying connected to your purpose.

The reality about workplace advancement: Most of what determines success happens in informal conversations, not formal reviews. The skills that get you noticed aren't always the ones in job descriptions. Having been in budget meetings and promotion discussions, I can show you what actually matters.

You'll walk away with:

  • Strategic career plans based on how decisions actually get made

  • Enhanced executive presence that feels authentic to you

  • Practical tools for leading through change and building influence

  • Understanding of workplace dynamics and how to navigate them

  • Confidence in your story and how to tell it effectively

Custom Coaching is available for goals that don't fit neatly into these categories — like boundary-setting, decision-making, identity work, burnout recovery, or building a more aligned life. We'll design the coaching relationship around your unique needs.

Pricing and structure remain the same for all coaching services.

About Altara Coaching

Hi, I’m Sahana — and I started Altara because I know what it feels like to be outwardly successful and inwardly misaligned. To be praised for your performance while your intuition whispers: this isn’t it.

For years, I tried to answer that voice by moving closer to mission-driven work — shifting from tech, to health tech, to nonprofit leadership. And still, something deeper kept tugging at me.

Is this the fullest version of you?

That question changed everything.

I've spent the last 15+ years building brands, scaling teams, and leading through complex growth — from startups to companies like Amazon One Medical and Cleo. I’ve been in the rooms where strategy is made, where leadership either gets elevated or stifled. I’ve coached leaders through high-stakes moments and I’ve watched brilliant people burn out trying to become someone else’s definition of “successful.”

What I’ve learned is this: Great leadership isn’t about having the perfect strategy. It’s about learning to lead in a way that’s deeply, unapologetically your own. It’s about clarity. Integrity. And the courage to choose intuition over approval.

I trained with the Co-Active Training Institute — one of the most respected coaching and leadership development programs in the world to formalize what I’ve been doing intuitively for years: supporting high-capacity humans lead themselves, lead others, and build lives and careers rooted in what matters most.

Here’s what I believe:

  • You’re not stuck because you’re unqualified. You’re stuck because you’re out of alignment.

  • Your discomfort isn’t weakness — it’s wisdom.

  • Your leadership doesn’t have to look like anyone else’s.

  • You’re not asking for too much — you’re asking for what’s true.

At Altara, I coach individuals and organizations at inflection points — whether you're stepping into a bigger role, navigating burnout or identity shifts, or trying to build a leadership culture that actually supports people.

Yes, we talk strategy. But we also talk values. Nervous system capacity. Energy leaks. Boundaries. Visibility. Power. And the kind of impact that feels good to carry.

And while I work with people from all walks of life, I especially light up working with women, people of color, and anyone trying to lead in systems that weren’t built with them in mind. Because I’ve lived that too — and I know the resilience it takes.

The name “Altara” comes from two words that anchor me:
Altar, a sacred space for truth and intention.
Tara, a guiding star.
Altara is a space to realign and rise — on your terms.

When I’m not coaching, you’ll find me making art, exploring the Bay with my husband, or navigating the wild magic of new parenthood with my baby boy. All of that — the work, the wonder, the mess — shapes how I show up.

If you’re at a professional pivot, a personal threshold, or quietly aching for something more... I’d love to support you.
